Seattle Lunch 2.0

I attended Seattle Lunch 2.0 at Pelago today.

  • Food: -1. Cold cut sandwiches, cookies, and soda. Meh.
  • People: +1. About 60 in attendance, by my count. A good cross-section of Seattle geekdom.
  • Talk: -1. A circle jerk about whether you can make money from Facebook apps. Let me assuage your anticipation: “Maybe.”

Yesterday, I met up with members of Open Source Bridge‘s brain trust at the Seattle Lunch 2.0 happy hour at Axios/TalentSpring.

Lots of people, lots of good chats. Lots of pizza and drink. IANAL but gosh their office is nice.

Open Source Bridge was represented by Selena Deckelmann, Rick Turoczy, Jake Kuramoto, and Kelly Guimont. They came up from Portland to spread the word about OSB, and in general mix it up with their more northerly geek brethren. We had good discussions about promoting OSB here in Seattle, including student outreach. Rick is also responsible for Silicon Florist, so he gets an extra +1.
