Today, YouTube deleted my Old guy, Career change channel.
I appealed the deletion.
While my appeal was pending, I learned this was a YouTube snafu that affected many other content creators.
YouTube replied to my appeal and said, We’re sorry we did this, and we’ve reinstated your channel.
Except they’ve removed six of my videos for violating their Terms and Policies.
And they’ve deleted most of my replies to users’ comments.
There’s nobody at Google/YouTube that I can talk to about this, of course.
I’ve posted a message on their help forum. I’ll wait 24 hours before deciding if I’ll delete everything and walk away.
Update: Now my help forum message isn’t visible! I can’t imagine why they would delete it. This really makes me want to continue using YouTube.
Update #2: All my videos and comments are back. Total outage time for my channel: 19 hours. If you’ll excuse me, I need to go post a new video.

What a pain in the proverbial for you John. I hope you keep the channel/videos going as I (and am sure many others) have thoroughly enjoyed your insights, stories and candour.
Meh, keep it. random acts of god happen and your channel is a worthy thing to exist on tehInturvebs. besides, what else would you do with your copious free time?
